All right. In this video we're going to talk about the product tags section. Once you add the product section to your, theme, you can use it on product pages. And you can see here what it looks like. we have some text and launch control of what that looks like. And then what it shows is all the tags for that product.

And if you click on the tag, it'll take you to a collection. And you'll be able to specify what collection it's going to. In this one here I made it the collection of snowboards. And then it filters that collection by the tag or mountains. And you can see here that filters are already turned on because the flex theme is smart about that.

So this allows you to have people search, you know, on a product and say, well, this product isn't perfect for me, but I'm looking for purple snowboards. So let me see more of your purple, right. They click on purple and they'll see the purple options. Now let's look at this in theme customization on the back end to show you the controls that you have.

and you may already have seen a similar element right here in my product information section. We have a blog for product links, and I'm going to turn that one on. And you see it. It's very similar to this one. We actually based the code for our section off of this block here. A couple differences is one. This is a section.

So you can add it anywhere in the product page you want. Whereas this one here is a block and can only be put in the

product information

section here. And then the couple other things is you're now in control of what this text is. Right. So if we, click on the product tags section, you'll see over here the title, we can make it whatever we want it to be.

And the really important difference is in this section here you get to specify which collection you're browsing by. So let's say for example, you were, browsing in a collection of snowboards and then sale snowboards. and then they were, you know, they were in this, you know, sale snowboards.

collection. And then here,

The way the built in element does it is that it filters based on the collection you're already in. So right now I'm in the collection snowboard. But just assume for a second it was a sale. If you only had one sale. Purple snowboard, you clicked on purple. The only snowboard that would show up is the one you're in.

So this allows you to merchandise across your catalog and say, well, I want it to look at all snowboards. And usually we do for this when we add it to stores is we pick the all products collection. Unless it's a really large catalog store, then we might pick a collection below that. But usually we're just doing the all products so that they want to search by color or whatever other tag they want to search by.

they can browse all the products that match that tag instead of just the products that happen to be in the collection that the customer is already in, and they may not even be aware that they're already in a collection when they're on a product page. And that's why that experience can be confusing for customers in the built in, element here.

So that's why we're gonna get rid of that built in element and leave it with the store wide, selection that we have here. So that's how that element works. Thanks for watching.
