Okay. In this video we're going to go over the product description section. So here on this product page we're using the default product description which is a block inside of the product form. So if we look at this inside of the Shopify admin under Theme Customization, you'll see here in this template under Product Information we have a block for description.
And you can take that block. And you can move it up and down on the page inside of the product information section where you want to place it. I like it below the form. Some people actually prefer it above the form and that's all good. The problem we see in a lot of stores is that the product description is a lot of content.
It's really long. It only takes up half the page. And I actually in a lot of my stores we put a little bit of continent here like product sales or a highlighted product review. When I prefer to do is put the product description down below the full width of the page, underneath the photos and the product form. But the built in, you know, capabilities of the theme doesn't allow you to do that.
And that's where our section comes into place. Right. So now I'm going to add a new section. Go down to JP Product Description right here and add that in. And now we've got you know this this content is the same as this content because they're both coming from the description box on the product page in the admin for that product.
Now I can take that description and I can move it, you know anywhere on the page. You know that I want you if you've got other content blocks in here, you can have it, you know, above or below those and it's going to be full with. And then when you do that, you're probably going to want to, turn off the block for product description.
Now, if we save that, go back out to the front end instead of our description being half width. If we refresh the page we'll see that it's full width now. So that's how the product description section works in our app. Thanks for listening.
