Gift with Purchase Video Transcript

Okay, this video is going to go over the free gift with purchase section that you can add to your cart. So if we go into theme customization, you'll see I have the gift with purchase section turned on. And let me go back to the front end and show you here. I've got a threshold set for the free gift of $1,000.

So right now I've got one snowboard in my cart $949. If I go ahead and increase that to two snowboards for a total of $1,800. All right. That's more than $1,000. So now my free gift with purchase promo shows up and it says, you know, you've earned a free snowboard, blah, blah, blah. And now I can add the free snowboard if this product has no variance, it'll just add it to the cart.

If the product has variance, it'll take you to the product page so the customer can choose their variance and then add it to the cart. Now I add the free snowboard. The promo goes away. and if I refresh the page, we'll see that our free product is here and it shows up as free. Now it's showing up as free is not a function of this section.

All right. This section just promotes the free products. And then you have to make it free through the discounts separately. So if we go into our discounts we've got an automatic discount turned on. Right. And what it says is if the purchase amount is over $1,000 from snowboards, then the customer can get one free oxygen snowboard. So I had to turn on that discount first and then enable the section.

And then when I did that, the automatic discount kicks in. When the free snowboard gets added. Now if I check my snowboard my purchase amount down below the thousand dollar threshold and refresh again, you'll see that this product is no longer free. and if I remove it from the cart refresh, it brings up the speed here, increase my items to two.

The promotion shows up again. Now our section over here gift with purchase. You'll see in the settings we can control the color on it. We can control the threshold amount. We can pick which product it is and the text above, text below, and the text on the button are all things we're in control. We can also do is have more than one tier of free product, so it could be orders over $100.

Get free snowboard wax orders over $500. Get free goggles, order over $1,000 goods a free snowboard so you can have multiple tiers. I've got one turned on here right now, but you can see here second price tier, third price tier and fourth price tier. You can stack up to four of them. And you take whichever one is the most expensive.

And you put it first and even says that highest value promo. but that way you could have different tiers for your campaign, you know, reach this threshold and get this product. Now, this element does show up only when the item is above the threshold, when the cart value is above the threshold set inside of this section, you can use cart message to promote items that are below the threshold.

You can promote the awareness. We tend not to do that in our client stores for a bunch of different reasons. but we've found that this works best for our customers. All right. Thanks for watching.
